After having been defeated, Phil Hellmuth wrote on his twitter page: “Out! Still feel calm, did autographs and pics after busting. 2010 WSOP: played great, but cards weren’t great”. Anyway Hellmuth can't be feeling too bad as he will be taking home around $100,000 from various other WSOP events. He was already up $250,000 on the year coming into the WSOP. |

With World Series of Poker Main Event Day 1c done and gone, so are some of the biggest names in poker: the biggest name is the world record holder for more WSOP bracelets Phil Hellmuth, who was knocked out of the main event in just a matter of hours. Tom Dwan has also been sent home, effectively losing his prop bets over the winning bracelet. Dwan’s deepest run in the 2010 WSOP was in an early No Limit Hold’em event, an event in which he finished in second place. Things were not as easy as they could have been for many other poker pros: Dario Minieri, Howard Lederer, Shaun Deeb, Steven Begleiter, Men Nguyen, Huck Seed, and many more who have also been sent home despite their best efforts in the Main Event.
