The 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event defined the final nine players left, which has become popularly known as the “November Nine” who will battle in the final table to determine the 2010 WSOP champion. The 22 years-old Jonathan Duhamel, from Quebec (Canada) is the current chip leader with 65,975,00 and is also the youngest player in the field. This is Duhamel's third time to cash at this year's WSOP.  This has been a big year for Canada, with five gold bracelet winners and Duhamel hopes to become the sixth. It would be the first time for his country: No Canadian player has ever won the WSOP Main Event.

But there’s also another novelty in these 2010 edition of the WSOP:  There is only one former gold bracelet winner still alive in the Main Event – Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, who is among the most successful tournament performers since the poker boom began, but there are no former world champions remaining. Talking about the nine players left it’s the first time for a player coming from Italy: Filippo Candio, 26 of age, who is one of the three non –American contenders remaining. The oldest player among the nine is Cuong "Soi" Nguyen, 37 from California and there are no women remaining in the Main Event: a female has not appeared at the championship final table since 1995.
